ABOUT & CONTACT
I was born and raised in San Diego, CA. I studied human development, anthropology, and french at California State University, San Marcos. After I graduated college, I became a service member with PASS AmeriCorps, a mentoring and leadership program for at-risk youth in gang impacted neighborhoods in San Diego County. The elementary school at which I served and their incredible students have imprinted on my heart and are the inspiration for my decision to become an educator. I hope to make my impact on the world by inspiring kind, resilient, and innovative life-long learners out of every student who enters my classroom.
I am obsessed with the outdoors, reading books, and my 2 cats - Ollie and Ellie. I like to play the guitar and ukulele and I aspire to learn to play the violin. I enjoy photography and painting on my free time. I want to complete a thru-hike one day and travel to as much of the world as possible.
I used to make sandwiches at LEGOLAND California, catalog and conserve artifacts in the curatorial department at the San Diego Museum of Man, officiate civil weddings, and sing songs to clients at TERI Inc. I am currently attending my almer mater to earn my multiple subject credential. I look forward to being a credentialed teacher next year. In addition to teaching in my own classroom, I'd like to join the PeaceCorps, WorldTeach or other related non-profit humanitarian organization some day in the future.
We rise by lifting others.
